Privacy Policy โ Last updated: October 24, 2026
StarBloom is a family reward-points app: parents record points, kids redeem them for rewards and occasional spins of a prize wheel. Our core principle is simple: your family's data stays on your device. We do not run a server, do not have accounts, and do not track you.
Everything you enter stays in the app's local storage on your iPhone:
Purchased Pro status and the free spin counter are kept in the iOS Keychain so they survive an app reinstall. The Keychain is an Apple system service on your device; we have no access to it.
Pro users can export a backup file and restore it later. The file is generated locally and handed to the iOS share sheet, so you decide where it goes (Files, AirDrop, iCloud Drive, email). We never receive a copy. A backup contains child profiles, point history, vouchers and settings โ treat it like any other personal document.
StarBloom Pro is a one-time purchase processed entirely by Apple through StoreKit. We never see, store, or process your payment information. All billing is handled by Apple under your Apple ID. To verify a purchase, the app asks the App Store on your device โ no data is sent to us.
StarBloom is designed for parents and guardians to use with their children. The app is operated by the adult; children's names and point records are entered by the adult and stored only on that device. We do not knowingly collect โ or have any technical means of collecting โ personal information from children or anyone else. For more on Apple's own data practices, see Apple's Privacy Policy.
Your data lives on your device for as long as the app is installed. Deleting the app removes the local database. Pro status may reappear after reinstalling because it is tied to your Apple ID purchase, which Apple manages โ not us.
Because we collect no personal data, there is nothing on our side to access, correct, export, or delete. You remain in full control of the data on your device at all times.
If a future version of the app introduces a feature that requires data to leave the device, this page will be updated before that version ships, and the date above will change.
